Hi,

I am connecting a few Cisco Aeronets to Cisco 3750G switches to provide WiFi access. I have created VLANS and given switchport vlan access.

I will be receiving Cisco Merakis very soon for a full scale deployment. at what point would I need a wireless controller? can I use the Cisco 3750G configuration to achieve this WiFi access points configurations?

No active drectory connection at this time but with Merakis arriving , I would need that for secure authentications and all other security that these Access Points will need.

Please advise,

Best Regards,

Masood

Meraki Access point does not require a controller to manage. You can provision/manage via online portal.

What Access point model you currently plugging to 3750?, if they are AireOS based (like 2702/2802/etc) it require a controller to manage.
