Hi all,
i need you help.
I have a custom that needs to deploy a wireless solution, in attach plan, does not want a solution with WLAN controller.
I proposed a solution with AIR-AP1024N-E-K9.
What solution should implement in order to have a good coverage? Repeater, bridge point-to-point, point-to-multipoint, or something else?
Let me know what you think?
Thanks in advance.

You can just use APs in ap mode. No need for repeaters, etc. in this environment. If you want to make sure you have good coverage, then have a site survey performed so you know 100% that there is enough coverage.

Hi Scott,
thanks for reply. If i set all APs in Ap mode, can APs share same SSID?
There is a special setting on APs?
Thanks.

Marco,
Just remember that in any setup (vendor) it's recommended I use the same SSID everywhere. So yes, you will configure each AP with the same SSID.

Thanks again Scott.
If i configure same SSID on all APs(in AP mode) when i move with my notebook from one AP to another AP it roaming?
Thanks.

Roaming is fine with open, WEP, wpa1-PSK and wpa2-PSK. If you use 802.1x, then you need to use WDS. You can have one or more than one AP configured as a WDS. You can find configuration by searching Cisco autonomous WDS configuration.

Yes that is how it should be deployed. Always cable to each AP and stay away from repeaters. Repeaters where okay 10 years ago, but the performance users get is very noticeable.
