DHCP Option 82 insertion in bridge mode question

Hello netpros,

Has anyone tested the dhcp option 82 insertion in bridge mode? Can i safely assume that this feature crafts the dhcp packets as if the wlc was configured for proxy mode?

For DHCP option 82 to operate correctly, DHCP proxy must be enabled.

Yes indeed, this is the rule of thumb.Still it seems that in version 8.2 there is an enhancement for dhcp option 82.

Have you tested it?
