If you want to do this from the GUI, clcik on the Wireless | Access Points | Radios | all the way on the right is a blue triangle, click that next to the AP you want to disable the band and click configure.  There you will disable the radio.

From the CLI you can issue a:

config 802.11a disable

config 802.11b disable

Thanks,

Hello,

I need to disable 2,4GHz and enable 5Ghz radio only at one LAP.

Scott's method to disable a radio for a specific AP.

If you want CLI, the command is "config 802.11b  disable AP_name ".

Ok disabled, but when trying to enable a or n:

AP does not support the specified radio type.

The followings are supported radio types of the AP:

 802.11b

The command to enable 802.11b on a specific AP is "config 802.11b enable AP_name".

I'm sorry leo, you are not following me...

I need to disable 1 out of 11 APs the 2,4GHz (b/g/n) because when trying to airplay to an apple tv I have many issues with bluetooth mouses (same frequency). So I need only 5GHz at this AP

TY

I see.  Can you post the complete output to the command "show ap config general AP_NAME".

I have a strange feeling the AP you want to enable 802.11a/n is only single-radio or the wrong Regulatory Domain.  This is why you are getting the error message when you attempt to enable 802.11a/n

Ok.  Just as I have suspected.  The AP in question only has one (1) radio and it's only 802.11b.   You will never be able to enable 802.11a.

Ok. So I have to forget the config part of the LAP. we have many issues with airplay to apple tv and some forums says that is Bluetooth (mouse) and wireless problems. Any way to round this?

It's not the Bluetooth mouse.... I run that and a couple Apple TV's at home and I have also implemented schools with Apple TV's in each room....

But is the wireless? Is the Apple TV? Any clues/tips?

Put the Apple TV's and the devices that use the APple TV's on the same subnet and see if that helps.  I don't know how you have your wireless setup, so its hard to tell you what to do.
