Discovery response from MWAR 'AP1' running version 17.6.1.13 is reject

Hi.

I have a 9120AXI ap running version 17.3.6.76. I have a 10 ap's in production that I runs 17.6.1.13 code. I want this new ap to join the EWC controller instead of upgrading all 10 ap's in production to newest release for now. If that is possible. 

So to get this new ap to get the same software as the prodcution ap's, is the easiest step to spin up a virtual wlc controller for cloud, running Bengaluru-17.6.1 version and try to add the ap to that controller?

I tried that now but get these errors. I am kinda new to 9800 so is there any auto provision setting I need to turn on for the wlc to accept the ap in capwap mode running 17.3.6.76 code? I thought the ap would auto download the same software version that the virtual wlc runs.

I tried to put the ap1g7 image from C9800-AP-universalk9.17.06.01 folder for EWC software into my tftp folder and I will download the file, but I get these errors when I try:

Thanks a lot for the headsup. My 9120 ap is indeed affected by this. It has VID7 and is affected when I use the bugtool. I guess I can upgrade the virtual WLC but that do not solve my issue. 

I want my 9120 ap to run on 17.6.1.13 so I can plug it in production. TFTP works and in the predownload only works to predownload the ap image. The controller image never starts to predownload.

As you can see here the cli say It finds the EWC software.

After a while this come up:

I run 17.6.1.13/17.06.01.0.250 on the ap's in production. Since the controller in production is under 17.6.3 I need to upgrade all ap's to 17.6.4, correct?

 - Yes, but capwap based (client) access points will download new software from the controller automatically ,

I upgraded to version 17.6.4 and the ap joins the controller now. Thanks a lot for the help!
