DNA Center & WLC Provisioning.

I'm in an interesting predicament. I have a 9800 WLC, that are already in production, and DNA Center that was installed after the fact. This is a non fabric deployment. Version 17.3.4, DNA 2.2.3.5

I have seen 101 different documentations all of which define the how to provision your WLC, but not the why.

Essentially, I understand how to do it, but why do I need to create new SSID when I already have certain SSID in production? I kind of assumed (I know) that DNA would pull the SSID already configured on the WLC.

Any insight would be very helpful!

One of the "Actions" in the Inventory menu for WLCs is "Learn Device Config" which will give you the chance to bring in the brownfield SSIDs (and other wireless configs) into your DNA center.  There are youtube videos on the topic if you want to see what it looks like.
