I saw there is a bug that the 9800 WLC model doesn't support passive client function.

https://bst.cloudapps.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCvy21664

I would like to know if the AIR-AP2802I-T-K9 support passive client function?

 - The model is less important , meaning that if it runs autonomous-aireos it can do it  , if connected to 9800 (controller) not as bug report explained (https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/7-4/configuration/guides/consolidated/b_cg74_CONSOLIDATED/b_cg74_CONSOLIDATED_chapter_01100011.html)

Sorry, I should add the controller model: AIR-CT5520-K9.

So it should work right?

 - It's not advisable to go back to older controllers as the 9800 with all it's subvariants it  the way forward , note that the bug report only mentions this issue for flexconnect local switching , in order modes it should workhttps://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/9800/17-1/config-guide/b_wl_17_11_cg/passive-client.html

Also note that that lack of support is very specifically with FlexConnect local switching.

Passive client will still work with AP in local mode or with FlexConnect central switching on 9800.
