Hi Guys,

My Customer have a CallManager version 8.5 and any Mobil Phones 7921 and 7925. My question is: is there the codec recommendated to this topology. My Customer would like test only G711, but, there is not this option in CallManager. The optin that is G.722,G.729.

Thanks,

Wilson

The recommended WLC version as well as supported AP platforms are also in the deployment guide mentioned above.

Currently recommend 7.0.116.0.

Sure G.711 is an option.

But you would have to disable the G.722 advertisement.

This can be done on a global basis in enterprise parameters or on a per phone basis.

In the phone config, there is a "Advertise G.722 Codec" option.  Set that to disabled to use G.711 instead of G.722 assuming the region is setup correctly.

G.722/G.711 (64 Kbps audio) are the same option in the region config.

See the 792xG Deployment Guides for more info on the G.722 advertisement option.

Hi Migilles,

Thanks for answer. About the WLC ou WCS, is there any specific configuration to work with the mobil Phone? or what is the best practice about this?

Thanks,

Wilson
