I am using 2 anchor controllers 5508 as DHCP server. Anchor controller A is primary and anchor controller B is secondary. From time to time, client will complain "duplicate IP address error" when they try to connect guest wireless.
First question: both anchor controller should have a recorder of IP address which is assigned to each PC, right?
Second question: is there any way this type of issue can be avoided?

Eric,
The dhcp scopes on your guest anchors should be a split scope. You should not have the exact same scope as the WLC's don't know of what IP address the other has issued.

check the msg log and see who is the other MAC showed as duplicate.
do you've static ip assigned to any PCs?
enable dhcp required option from WLAN's advanced tab that doesn't allow client with static ip.

Eric you should use different IP ranges on both devices. i.e. Device A should have 10.1.2.1-10.1.2.254 range and Device B should have 10.1.3.1-10.1.3.254 range.
Or if you want to use same range then splict in half
Device A: 10.1.2.1 - 10.1.2.100
Device B:10.1.2.101 - 10.1.2.254
In this way clients shouldn't have IP conflict issue.
