Hi all,
I am receiving the below alert on Syslog.
" %IP-4-DUPADDR: Duplicate address 172.27.6.4 on Vlan22, sourced by bcd1.d366.9917 "
1. Vlan 22: It is a vlan configured for one SSID
2. 172.27.6.4 is the IP address configured for the VLAN 22.
Please kindly suggest what will be the issue and how to troubleshoot it.

When I see this I tell folks to check their DHCP scope and see where it starts. If it's good then I tell them to turn on DHCP req to prevent anyone from doing static and causing this issue.
Lastly hunt down down the MAC address and see who is stealing it ..

Shall I take your opinion like somebody is configuring the IP manually on their mobile and also the same IP is available in DHCP scope.
So the way to resolve this issue is to trace out the culprit. Am i right ?

It could be someone manually configuring the IP address, but it also could be the device requesting the IP address...it might not be a naughty person....could just be a naughty device... ;-)
