Enabling 5Ghz

I just enabled 5Ghz 802.11a/n on my Cisco 5508 controller.

I see my client machine associted with 802.11a/n (it is my understanding that "a" is required for 5Ghz).

Is there a way I can confirm I am in the 5Ghz range? (we have 2.4Ghz enabled as well)

whn you see the client connected as 802.11a you can confirm you are the in the 5 Ghz range. you can also check the channel that the client is connected to, 2.4 GHz have 1, 6 and 11, while anything above 36 will be of the 5GHz range

Thanks
