Some customers reported slow response when using encrypted SSID.

Encrypted SSID?  You mean broadcasting SSID?

Yes, we had two broadcasting SSID, one with encryption and one w/o encryption.

one with encryption and one w/o encryption.

Please refrain from using this term as this will confuse anyone.

I have seen cases where clients cannot join an SSID if it's "hidden" or non-broadcasting.   This is because the client (and not the AP) was designed to operate when the SSID is broadcasting.

There are alot of reasons why the client experience slow responses.  And the most common culprit is 802.11b/g in a dense wireless envrionment.

Thanks the reply. Same AP broadcast two SSID, one encryption is disable and one with WAP, customer always complain slow response when connect to the encryption SSID while no encryption one performance is normal, seem problem not related to the singal strength, wonder performance was degraded as traffic need to encrypt and deencryp. Any idea ?
