Can anyone help me with this?
I am getting CRC errors on a few of my bridge access points that are in the range of 90 to 200+ CRC errors every 10 seconds. This is only on the radio side, not the cabling side.
I have a 4th floor office and am using bridge access points (2 on each floor). I have not got the access points on the 4th floor yet, but it is the 3rd floor that is clocking all those CRCs.
Does anyone have any trouble shooting suggestions for me; I think I am about drained...
Thanks

Paul,
Let me see if I've got this straight. You have a building with 4 floors, 2 access points per floor. Your seeing 90-200 CRC errors only on the access points on the 3rd floor? Are all of your access point connected to your LAN?

yes, and all the access points are hardwired to the LAN.

Have you checked all of your machines that are associated to that AP? Have you tried shuting the PC's / Devices down then bring them up one at a time and watching your error counts on the AP?

Are your access points located in the same area on each floor? Depending on the building construction this can be an issue when excessive bleadthrough is found. Have you had a site survey performed to determine proper access point location, power levels, installation requirements and interference analysis?

Execessive CRC errors can be a symptom of Multipath Fading caused by a harsh environment.
Are the AP's on the third floor in a vastly different environment...eg lots of metal..?
