I have a WLC 2504, but I don't have the credentials to access it and I'm looking to reset it to factory settings. However, I don't have access to the console because the BAUD rate and console port parameters were changed, so I only see strange characters in the terminal (see attached image). I've tried several combinations but haven't had any luck. I did a scan with WireShark and managed to find its IP and can access it via SSH (but I don't know the credentials). I wanted to ask if there is any method to perform this factory reset using the reset button or if there is any other alternative. The LEDs look normal PWR and SYS are green. ALM is not lit.. I'm desperate as I've been trying to do this reset for weeks, please help

First, change the baud rate until the text becomes readable.
Once the text is readable, there is an option in console to factory reset when the WLC boots up in the first 10 seconds.

- When you get a working console : reboot the WLC and when requested hit ESC few times then follow the instructions on the screen to clear the configuration. If you don’t see any message to hit ESC then at the username prompt write “recover-config” and it should delete the config.

@andres-garciag Have you tried baud rate 15200 or 96000 ? test with other rates one should work.As others mention above you should presented with screen to reset factory reset upon boot or use steps mentioned above.

Why don't you reset the 2504 using reset button ?
Hole it is available on front between LAN ports and LED's, No need for console cable, just a 0.5 mm pin.
