flex connect ipoverlay cisco 9800 wlc

Hello Team,

what is the option name ip overlay in flex profile of catalyst 9800 wlc?

will it cause any impact in the network.

Are you referering to this:

If so, this feature is used if you have multiple sites using the same subnet. This is normally seen where the sites have a private subnet being used for Guest services and NATTed to the internet. To save on IP space since they do not need to route internally the same subnet can be used.

If this is not selected if 2 users connect at different sites with the same IP address the WLC will mark them as IP theft.

yeah exactly we are getting the ip theft for the users , but in our infra we are not same vlan subnet and the flex profile is for the corporate vlan.Above that not sure why the ip theft is happening.

also pls specify which is method method to have , is to enable or disable?

If you don't have overlapping networks, then you have this disabled.  @Haydn Andrews posted information on what that feature is for.  I don't think you need that enabled.
