Flexconnect Local Switching with No VLAN Mapping

Hi,

I have a quick question.

We have Flexconnect Local Switching with no VLAN mapping on the APs or Flexconnect Group. If APs lose connection to WLC, would the clients get disconnected or stay connected?

The site has no VLANs and it's running on Native VLAN 1.

Already connected clients should remain connected. No new clients able to connect unless local authentication is available.

Thanks Rasika.

There is no WLAN-VLAN Mapping defined in FlexConnect Group.

Neither do we have VLAN Support option Checked on individual APs.

Screenshots attached.

Would that be an issue if the WLC restarts?

I do not think that would be an issue.

Better if you could test it and verify.

Thanks.

Actually I've to upload license on controller, the controller will restart after the licenses are uploaded, right?

That's why I wanted to make sure if the clients would still be connected or not.

Uploaded license, rebooted the controller.

Everything worked fine, no disconnections to clients or APs.

Good to hear that.
