Im simply trying to set up a guest wlan. No matter what it will not open the captive portal to login with the wlan user and password even though it connects to the wifi. Ive tried it with a wlan user account and other ways.

we need some details about your network setup, WLC type and configuration, in order to be able to help you with your issue.

With out providing proper information like below -

1. what WLC controller ?

2. what code running?

3. what AP Models ?

4. how is your authentication method ?

5. where is your web portal ? 

6. what IP address you get when you connect to Guest WLAN.

Troubleshooting :

1. what steps you have followed here ?

2. is this web portal you able to open manually after connecting to Wireless ?

3. Do you have Firewall between web portal and WLC controller ?
