Hi, I set up the the guest account for wlc9800 IOX Cupertino, Cisco IOS XE Software, Version 17.09.06, and when adding a guest, I can see that account under the User Admin option with Read/Only . The AAA authentication was created as local.
Is this the expected behavior with the version? is there a way to fix this?
Thanks.

It was created an SSID for Temporary Guest or Visitors, however when the guest account for the visitor is created under Configuration\Security\Guest User, such account can be seen under Administration\User Administration as well. I am not expecting to see this guest account there. How can this be fixed.?
Thx

Hi @Fco-Barron !
Yes, that’s expected—guest accounts show as read-only in User Admin when using local AAA on WLC 9800, but they still work fine for Wi-Fi access.
If you need admin access instead, you’ll have to create the user via CLI with privilege level 15.

Thanks wajidhassan for your response. The idea is not to give them any admin access at since they are only temp visitors and I consider this as a security issue.. so what I am expecting is just to create the guest user and don't see it under Administration\User Administration as well.. So Local AAA is causing this? what workaround can be done to fix this?
