HA SKU - import config from primary?

Hey guys, we've bought an 5508 HA-SKU (wlc0) controller to backup our 5508 (wlc1) primary controller. I want the N+1 architecture implemented in this scenario because I'm adding another 5508(wlc2) to the game.

I've already read the deployment guides although I might be missing a key component.

What configuration should the HA-SKU have? Should I import the config file from the Primary, change the interface IP addresses and then upload the same configuration into the skued one?

Read THIS.

Just note that HA SSO and N+1 are two different redundancy options with N+1 being the slowest option to move the AP to another controller in case of the failure of the primary.  One of the biggest "gotcha" with N+1 is that your configuration has to be manually checked to ensure they are identical but HA SSO automatically synchronizes with the active unit.

the document, High Availability (SSO) Deployment Guide, isn't for my scenario, I just be thoughtful because I read HERE :

"These WLCs are independent of each other and do not share configuration or IP addresses on any of their interfaces. Each WLC needs to be managed separately by Cisco Prime, can run a different hardware and a different software version, and can be deployed in different datacenters across the WAN link.

Access Point Stateful Switch Over (AP SSO) functionality is not supported for N+1 HA. The AP Control and Provisioning of Wireless Access Points (CAPWAP) state machine is restarted when the primary controller fail"

thank you
