Hello, I have a WLC C9800-L version 17.6.4 and I have it configured in HA RP
It recommends that I should change the configuration to RMI+RP, since when it manages to switch it does not give WIFI service:
The query are:
When I make that configuration change from RP to RMI+RP, would all the configuration of the two C9800-L WLCs be deleted?
In any case, what procedure should I follow to change the configuration from RP to RMI+RP?

Considering the HA setup, you should change on the Primary only.

Hi
"When I make that configuration change from RP to RMI+RP, would all the configuration of the two C9800-L WLCs be deleted?"
It will overwrite teh RP IPs with RMI derived IPs.
"Upgrade already Paired controllers
If the controllers are already in an HA pair, the existing exec RP CLIs can be continued to be used.
Those who would like to migrate to the RMI based HA pairing (preferred) can enable RMI.
This will overwrite the RP IPs with RMI derived IPs. The HA pair will not be immediately disturbed, but the
controllers will pick up the new IP when they reload next.
RMI feature mandates a reload for the feature to take effect.
When the controllers reload, they would come up as a pair with the new RMI-derived-RP-IPs. Exec RPbased
CLIs will be blocked"
"In any case, what procedure should I follow to change the configuration from RP to RMI+RP?"
Do you mean, besides checking the box for RMI+RP?

Thank you, I have other questions. Should I change it in both Main and Standby?
Currently I can only access the main C9800-L via web and cli, I cannot access the backup via web or cli.
The ip that I enter is 10.100.7.25 to the main C9800-L a very different ip as configured in the graph below:

Considering the HA setup, you should change on the Primary only.

- Also note that you can always have a checkup of the C9800-| configuration with the CLI command show tech wireless ; feed the output into : https://cway.cisco.com/wireless-config-analyzer/
This procedure is strongly advised not only when having problems with HA (e.g.) but also currently !
