Help with setting up Aironet 600 as a stand-alone WiFi access point wi

I purchased this to help with poor WiFi

connection in the bedroom upstairs

I’ve since realised there designed for use with a wireless LAN controller (?)

They were priced with in my limited budget and yes I now know there old stock and no longer supported. Is there any one who could help me set one of them up as a standalone AP with out a network controller

please

thanks

I don’t believe this will work without a controller. You either need to look for maybe a used 2504 which can be cheap these days or find an access point that states it can be used without a controller.

Hi
Thanks for your reply.
Before joining the Cisco community I did try to find the answer on the web.
In one of those searches some one suggested that it there was some soft
ware I could get from Cisco that allows the unit to be used and that when I
found the Cisco forum to see if that was true
Looks like another dud end wife won’t be happy!!!
Thanks for your time
Peter
