Hostname for WLC

Guys,

I have a Wireless Controller in HA and it has been in production for more than couple of years, now as we have a new hostname naming convection I would like to change  hostname of WLC, will this change going to impact any services ? does it require any downtime?

please help.

Changing the host is non-disruptive.  I know because I've done several already.

Leo is right as usual. 

However, one thing I would take into consideration is the AP HA settings. 

If you have called out your primary and secondary controller you will need to go back and update the hostname for all your aps on the HA tab in the gui. You can do this much more quickly and easily via template in Prime as well.
