Does anyone know how to backup your controller config? I have templates saved my my WCS. Would sending the template out be the same thing as as restoring a backup of the config?

You can either go under the scheduled tasks in WCS and setup automatic backups or you could go onto the controller under Commands - Upload Files and upload the config off of the controller to a TFTP server.

in WCS Administration > Background tasks> Other Background Tasks > Controller Configuration Backup
It looks like it has been backing them up. Where can I find the config files it has backed up?

Usually it will be in the default FTP directory for WCS.
If it is 6.x you can check here for that directory:
Administration > Settings > Server Settings

I located the config files. It is only 16 KB. Does that sound right?

It was in the tftp directory wasn't it? I think I mistyped.
Mine are about 80k but I guess they could be that small.

yeah tftp. Doesnt tell you the IP of the server is though. I guessed it was on the WCS windows server
