How to add an AP to my EWC controller

Chris Callison

Level 1

I just purchased a C9105AXI to add to a small wireless domain, managed on a single C9130AXI.  It is not joining the domain as the version is too old and it is not automatically getting the software from the controller.

The 2 devices are in the same VLAN and I have set up the DHCP option correctly.

Shouldn't they just synch up without intervention?

Unlike a 9800 controller, EWC flash memory does not have enough space to store all AP images. All the AP images need to be hosted on an external TFTP or SFTP server. When a second AP tries to join, EWC will point it to the external server. Without the following commands, no other AP will be able to join it:
