Hello Cisco-Experts,
we have activated FRA on our 5520-WLCs with hundreds of APs with good success.
But we noticed, that the results are rather stable and i fear that we do not change fast enough to reappearing
clients that use 2,4GHz-band.
According to Cisco, APs that detect coverage holes would immediately trigger a FRA-recalculation and would
change back an WLAN APs dual band antenna from 5-Ghz to 2.4Ghz if necessary.
Therefore I would like to know, how I can tune the coverage hole parameters used in the RF-Profile of our FRA AP Groups.
Right now we use following in a RF-profile for 2.4 GHz-Band:
Tmax=11dBm TPCv2=-70dBm
Coverage hole detection:
Data RSSI(-90 to -60 dBm)
Voice RSSI =-75dBm Window 10
Coverage Exception(0 to 100 %) 25%
Coverage Level(1 to 200 Clients) 3
What ist the meaning of Coverage Exception ?
Do it need to increase the value or decrease to make it more sensitive ?
Does it make sense to lower Clients to 2 or 1 ?
And finally, where can I find coverage hole statistics on WLC and Prime to check the result ?
Thank You for Your hints in advance.
Greetings from Frankonia
