How to change Cisco 3800 WLAN AP Console Log level and time stamp

Hello Cisco-WLAN-Experts,

in our effort to find more information about crashing Cleanair sensors on Cisco 3800 APs, I would like

to increase the console logging level and adjust the time stamps for the logging on the WLAN APs

The actual Console logging level is "notification".

How can I change this to "Debug" on a single 3800 WLAN AP?

Also the time stamp of the WLAN AP log is one hour behind local german winter time.

How can I change the time on a single 3800 WLAN AP?

By the way,

I tried to send the Syslog-Logging to our central Prime, but not all APs, nor all Console messages are appearing  there.

Any idea how to transfer the complete AP Console logging to a central Syslog-Server ?

Console logging : Level - notification, Status - enabled

Syslog logging : Level - information, Status - active, IP - 10.200.67.67

System logging :

If the AP is joined to an AireOS WLC, then there are several options.

1.  The AP can "synchronize" timezone with the WLC using the command "config ap timezone enable use-controller [ALL] [AP NAME]".

2.  The AP can have a timezone "delta" using the command "config ap timezone enable delta [ALL] [AP NAME] [DELTA of +23 to -23 hrs]"

Hello Leo,

You earn another 5 Points for this valuable tip.

Just tested the first comand successfully on one of our APs to fetch the time from a WLC, which is in contact with

an official Time-Server at our hospital using DNS resolution and SNTP.

ZOM-AP649#show clock
*10:36:14 UTC Fri Feb 4 202

(WLC-5520-1) >config ap timezone enable use-controller ZOM-AP649

Successfully enabled Time Zone for this AP

ZOM-AP649#show clock
*11:37:11 GMT Fri Feb 4 2022

I will activate this on all our WLAN APs.

Thank You very much.

Have a nice weekend

Wini
