how to change IP adress of wireless controller 2504 . from GUI

Hi
If you are changing the vlan as well make sure you allow that vlan across trunk link to WLC prior to IP change of the WLC management.
You will loose the GUI access while applying this change. You can modify it using Controller -> Interfaces -> management option.
If you have CLI access you can do it like below
(2504) >config interface address management <IP address> <netmask> <gateway>
(2504) >config interface vlan management <vlan>
You have to reboot your WLC & this change will be disruptive. So do it in a scheduled change window. Also you may require to update WLC discovery options (DNS, DHCP option 43) if any configured, otherwise AP won't be able to register the WLC after change management IP.

hi
Thank you so much. can you please tell me the steps of WLC discovery options i need to change

In the existing setup, does WLC management & APs are on the same vlan ? If that is the case you may have not configured any of the below, as AP L3 broadcast reach WLC & in that way AP will learn about WLC.
If WLC & APs are on different vlan you may already use one of WLC discovery method listed below.
1. DHCP Option 43
2. DNS
3. UDP broadcast forwarding
4. Static configuration
When you change the WLC management IP address, AP need to know what is the new IP & you can modify the configuration of the method you used.

hi,
If you change the IP / VLAN using CLI, is the change immediate or do you have to commit it?
Is the reboot automatic or do you have to manually reboot?
thannks, usman patel
