How to distribute the config file to AP's without the channel setting ?

We have more that 600 Ap in our network.

They are all configured with same Time server, syslog, event log etc. But when I try to distribute the config file it changes the AP channel settings to the parent distribution device.

I did send a feature request to TAC, but did not get a reply.

Does any one know how to block the channel setting while distributing the config file ?

Do-able, but not easy.

Give each AP a separate server location to check for new updates (automatic checking is built in, but I don't remember how many revs back). Then create three different images (one for each non-overlapping channel) and post them in the appropriate directories.
