How to monitor WLC mobility anchor connection down via SNMP traps

we have some SSID, traffic will go to central anchor wireless controller from local, so we decide to monitor the status between local WLC and anchor WLC, we could monitor it via syslog as below, but our monitoring team said it's better we can monitor it via SNMP trap, does anyone know how to set SNMP trap in WLC for this kind of log? much appreciate for your support

On anchor controller, go to management >snmp>Trap control >general>link up/down check that. Setup trap receiver address if you want to. If the controller link goes down you will get trap notification.
make sure port 162 is open between wlc and trap receiver.

If you want to be more granular then download wlc mib zip file from Cisco software download center and give it to your network management team, most monitoring tools will allow mibs to be imported and will allow query for specific oid referring to anchor controller/link monitoring.

-hope this helps-

You have 2 Options,

- Send Trap to syslog server ( if you have one and process logs to email when you see the message)

- Monitor with NMS
