Hi,
We have our office in a multi-storeyed IT campus with other companies in the vicinity. We are planning to go wireless in whole office (full 1 floor). Can anything be done to reduce the signal going outside the office area to prevent attacks/hacks? We are using 1240AP.
Apart from using security, i want o know specifically how to reduce the coverage area .. any power settings etc?
thanks

There are a few things than can help.
Ap placement, dropping the power down, cutting out the lowest basic-rate to shrink the cell, using directional antennae to focus the signal better and deploying obstacles that affect signals (tin foil, plants, people, etc.).
It will take some creativity, planning and measurement
