How to troubleshoot HA status change in GUI for Cisco 5508 controller

Hi Team ,

Cisco 5500 Series Wireless Controller

What does the highlighted section indicates in the below attached screenshot .

Why SSO shows disabled ? If the HA pair has a problem does SSO shows disable or this means there is no HA configured for this WLC ?

Hi There are 2 methods of HA,

1. AP+Client SSO

2. N+1

as per your screen cap we are certain that you are not using the first method, if you are using the first method you must have the parameters you highlighted configured.

If you are using N+1 you will not see any configuration here. You can go to All AP>>AP name>>High Availability and check whether any primary, secondary and territory controllers are configured. In N+1 you need to manually sync the config between controller or use Cisco PI to automate the sync. More info on N+1 https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/technology/hi_avail/N1_High_Availability_Deployment_Guide/N1_HA_Overview.html

Redundancy Mgmt IP = The IP address dynamic interface of THIS controller.

Peer Redundancy Mgmt IP = The IP address dynamic interface section of the OTHER controller.
