Hello,
i have a cisco outdoor WAP 1550 series and want to connect with existing WLAN, i need to understand that how an outdoor WAP can server wireless users through both bands 2.4 & 5 while i am using 5 GHz band for the backhole connectivity?
thank you

You need to enable "client access" on the backhaul. This is found in the GUI under MESH. Not a good idea if your client tend to all associate on the 5ghz as your backhaul can suffer and throughout will also suffer.

I agree with Scoot. Clients will start to contend for medium, the same medium the backhaul lives on. Not to mention if you have hops, you are already cutting the backhaul by 1/2 each hop, because it shares the same channel.
