I've the very same MAC-addr.on both BVI and 802.11g Radio, how do I change it?

And also, when hit the command "sh int" there are a line after the print-line MAC-addr.saying;

(bia 0011.926e.09b0) what is that saying?

Why do u want to change it ? Its a bridged interface.

To change mac-address use the command,

int do 0

mac-address xxxx.yyyy.zzzz

BIA stands for Burned In Address. It is the factory set mac-address. This will show up in show int output even if you change the mac-address using the above command.

I've an error-msg. saying "192.168.5.x dublicated address" and when going into that 1310s I do see the MAC-addr.are the same for both Hardware BVI and 802.11g. But it's not for my other 1310s.

There is an IP device, other than 1310, have the IP address 192.168.5.x. Please assign a different IP address to the 1310.

It is working as design to have both BVI and fast ethernet inteface have the same MAC. The fast ethernet does not have an IP address. Only the BVI 1 has an IP address.

Thanks, I see.

the msg.within the "Log" saying;

Dublicate address 192.168.5.26
