Hi,
Any help will be highly appreciated.
Performance of my wireless network is very poor, pings from wireless clients to the management address of the controller and client default gateway flap intermitently.
The set up is a WLC4402 connecting to a 3560 Multilayer Switch(SwitchA). I am then trunking the necessary vlans from this SwitchA (Management Interface VLan 162 and WLAN Clients Vlan 164) to another 3560 (layer 2 except for management address Vlan 1) lets call this SwitchB. Then all my LAPs (1252G) connect to SwitchB.
Managenet Interface ip- 10.110.130.2 gateway 10.110.130.62 (SVI on SwitchA) Primary DHCP server (10.110.130.2) Secondary - none
AP Manager- 10.110.130.1 gateway 10.110.130.62 (SVI on SwitchA) Primary DHCP server (10.110.130.2) Secondary - none
Dynamic Interface - 10.110.129.21 gateway 10.110.129.62 (SVI on SwitchA) Primary DHCP server (10.110.130.2) Secondary - none
Client DHCP pool - 10.110.129.1 - 10.110.129.126 (configured on WLC) - Gateway is 10.110.129.62 (SVI on SwitchA)
Virtual Interface - 1.2.1.2
Service port - 10.195.1.1
Please note that APs are joinning the controller and clients are receiving addresses, the problem is just that the performance is poor even when standing beside an AP.

Hi All,
This is becoming interesting.
Performance is fine when I connect to any of the APs operating on a different channel other than channel 1. APs that work fine are APs on channels 11, 40 and 157.
My wireless adapter is an Intel(R) WiFi Link 5100 AGN.
Any Ideas?
Regards,
Tochi

Hi All, the problem has been resolved. It was due to mismatch on the radio properties of my Wireless NIC. I enabled US and GB country codes so that I could manage the different APs on my network and then changed some settings on my Wireless NIC since then performance has been great.

I disabled 802.11n channel mode on my Wireless Network Interface Card when connecting to my APs using 2.4Gz antenna.

I experiencing something similar see my post at

Does this sound similar to what you were experiencing and should I receive solid non intermittent pings? At first I was questioning whether it was just a normal thing on CIsco wireless. I could use more info on exactly what settings you set on the client side. And any info you have on what you have seen as normal.
Thanks,
Andrew
