Internal Wireless Users Not Getting DHCP Address

Dan Man

I'm having an issue with our internal users getting an IP address.  Here's the setup:

5508 Wireless controller

SSID is setup for WPA2/802.1x with external NPS RADIUS Server

FlexConnect for the remote sites with local switching.  Flat VLAN sites

DHCP server should either be a local DHCP server, or ip helper.

interface has DHCP Proxy mode set to Global

I see successful RADIUS authentication.  However, when doing a client debug, I don't see an address being assigned to the user.

Any help would be appreciated.  I've tried to research as much as possible, but am stumped at this point

Hi

Flexconnect Local switching means that client will get IP locally, at least dont make sense to use differently. Proxy will not play a rola here.

I´d  recommend you to take a look on the following Cisco material, specially on the section "Configuring the Switch at the Remote Site". There will be your scenario and you can take an idea about what can be wrong:

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/7-2/configuration/guide/cg/cg_flexconnect.pdf
