We need to design a wireless network for one of our customers.
Users - Employees, Guests
Endpoints - Corporate Owned devices part of domain, Personal devices (Laptops/Mobiles/Tablets), VC Endpoints
We have thought of setting up a wireless network comprising of MR and MX appliances with following -
- Configure dedicated SSIDs for employees, Guests and VC Endpoints
- Use Captive Portal based authentication using Meraki Captive Portal for user authentication (Employees and Guests)
- MAC based access control for VC Endpoints with specific access control on perimeter firewall
Additional Requirement -
- Enforce Internet access policies (Application Access, URL Filtering, etc.) based on user department irrespective of device type (Corporate/Personal)
- Block Users (Employees/Guests) connected to wireless network from configuring laptop as mobile hotspot
