Hi,
We've been looking at implementing QOS across an 802.11b wireless network to address some voice quality issues (clipping). Cisco recommends running a seperate voice and data vlan when deploying a Cisco 7920 wireless handset. Wanted to know how the IP Communicator clients on the same WLAN network will queue their traffic in the Voice vlan ?
TIA

The Quality Report Tool (QRT) is a voice-quality and general problem-reporting tool for Cisco IP Communicator and other Cisco IP Phone devices. QRT is installed as part of the Cisco CallManager installation.

I run Communicator on my laptop in a data vlan with the Plantronics USB DSP-400. I don't see many problems. The gateways/callmanager are on the voice vlan.
Funny note, I was on a call to a customer. They asked me to PPTP into their network to troubleshoot a problem. I pptpd in and didn't realize for several minutes that IP Communicator was locked up and the call was dropped once I pptpd. The whole laptop locked up, I had to hard reboot (XP SP2)
