Hi.

I have 1 WLC AIR-CT5008-K9 version 7.0.98.0. with iPads connected to a WLAN with [(WPA+WPA2)(AuthPSK)].

and have constant disconnections. But the Laptops do not have problems.

I want to know if anyone has or had this problem and as resolved.

Try using EITHER one:  WPA or WPA2.

Are there any logs which are useful? Is the iPad disconnecting whilst being used or whilst inactive?

I actually just had this problem.  It wasn't just ipads, but ipods, iphones or anything apple really.  The solution that we found and what seems to working is a simple change.

Log onto the controller (gui) and click on the tab that says "controller".  Under "general" you will see a drop down that says "Fast SSID change".  It is probably disabled, so you need to enable it.  That seemed to resolve our issues of ipads/iphones etc not being able to connect or dropping their connection.  Hope this helps.

Soudns like the user idle timeout under the controller TAB. Its set to 300 seconds (5 minutes). It happens largly to Ipad and Iphones becuase they are very CLEAN. Unlike laptops that always chat on the network, these devices do not.

If the WLC doesnt see traffic from the device in 300 seconds the WLC deletes the users records. If you are using a guest wlan. The user will get the "welcome accept" screen again..

is this what you are talking about?
