is 10% packet retries abnormal?

in an open space, small office, surrounded by many other companies on the same floor, wireless clients all get about -50 dbm RSSI and 40-50 SNR, and about 10% packet retries rate.

Is 10% packet retries too much, abnormal, or is it about average in general?

Thanks a lot

I would say it is normal.

Hi,

How many packets will be dropped, if a 10% packet loss in wireless.

let's say, it's 100 icmp packets, all the packets are 32 bytes.

Hi,

A 10% packet loss is normal and usually something seen. Infact if you are using 802.11n or 802.11ac rates, this becomes an expected behavior :).
