Is it possible to convert an Aironet AP to LAP ?

I would like to know is it possible to convert a   Cisco Aironet AIR-AP1042N-x-K9 to LAP ?

Yes, it's fairly easy.  All you do is copy the RCV file from your TFTP server and into the AP, change the bootstring to boot the RCV file and reboot the AP.
