Hi,
guys.
Can anybody advise if is it possible to not apply changes in FlexConnect VLAN Template, while it is still in "Modified" state.
Was warking on customer site, and deleted one entry in template by accident in web interface.
Seems nobody exactly knows VLAN topology here, and I don't quite want to discover it ).
Is it possible to restore previous state, while it is not applied yet?

- I don't think that's possible ; besides a 'global restore' from a previously backed up (complete) configuration ; you may also find this thread informational : https://community.cisco.com/t5/wireless/lost-vlan-mapping-on-wlc-5508-flexconnect/td-p/2210570

- Ref : https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/8-5/olh/wlc-olh/wirec.html
>... For the mapping to be pushed to FlexConnect APs, the FlexConnect VLAN template must be in Applied state. If the template is in Modified state, the template is not pushed to the FlexConnect APs.
- Now that document refers to Aireos , what controller model are you using ?

Yes, thanks for link. I know, that it was not pushed to APs.
The question was, if it is possible to restore someway that one entry in FlexConnct Tempate, that was deleted.
I just don't know which VLAN was mapped there.
And nobody on customer site knows ).
It is WLC 5520 with 8.5.151 software version.

If the configuration hasn't been saved, you can try reloading the controller if that's an option. However, if the configuration was already saved, recovering the previous VLAN mapping might not be possible.
As a best practice, I always back up the configuration before making any changes to a customer's network.

If the change hasn't actually been applied then you should be able to cancel out of there and the change should be lost.
The other thing you could do is login to the CLI via SSH and do:
config paging disable
show run-config
As long as the config has not been applied and saved you'll be able to see what the old config was there.
As mentioned by others best to always have backup configs to refer back to for these occasions. If you don't have automatic config backups then get into the habit of always creating one before you start making any changes. I'd highly recommend getting at least a daily backup because if your WLC dies you really don't want to have to rebuild the config from scratch <smile>
