Is this too many AP's for this design?

I have a client that asked me about a situation where they have a school with three floors and around 6 classrooms on each floor. It's a small school. A company wants to install 21 Cisco 1200 AP's in each room and in the hallways. The school wants all the students to be on wireless laptops, that means around 240 wireless clients. I don't really think this can be possible, especially with all the overlap even if you turn the transmission power to 1mW. If this is possible how would you configure the AP... data rates, power level, etc... They suggest 7 AP's per floor and the hallway is no longer than 150 - 200 feet.

I think the issues is, you either have too many AP's that will give you problems or you have too many clients on one AP.

Just wanted to get some input on this design.

Use 802.11a instead of b/g. You'll have a lot more channels to work with.

Your other option would be a Vivato panel.
