Issues with dropouts on A band on 1142 LWAPP

Having an issue where clients connecting to A radios on an 1142 drop off every 2 and a half minutes. Running off a WLC 4402 running code 5.2.178.0. Issue cannot be replicated on an 1131 or 1242 running A radios. Opened a TAC case but interested to know if this is a problem seen elsewhere.

Curious if this happens to all the devices? The 1131 and 1241 are also running on the same WLC?

yep, on the same WLC. It has been happening on all the 1142's. Doesn't happen on the 1131 and 1242 units.

Well keep us updated on this issue. Like to knowif it is a bug or if there was a fix.

OK, finally found this one in the Bug list. Bug CSCsw20879 covers exactly what we were seeing. Weird we were only getting it on the 1142AP's and not the 1131 or 1242 AP's. Either way, the fix of updating the channel scan under RRM->General on the a radios to be 'country channels' and not 'all channels' appears to have fixed the issue.

Not that TAC helped me find this though :).
