Hi all, Meraki licensing question - if I am upgrading my hardware to WiFi7 today, however my co-term licenses are valid till May 2027, I don't have to purchase licenses right ? my new WiFi7 hardware should continue to work till May 2027 and in May 2027, I should purchase Essential subscription licenses right ?

> I don't have to purchase licenses right
Correct. Any existing AP licences will work with the new APs.
The total AP device count needs to match your licensing.

thanks, the count matches, so in May 2027 when I purchase licenses, I would purchase essential subscription license equal to total WiFi7 AP, however some APs will still be older model like MR86s .. how would one go about licensing new WiFi7 and older MR86s in same ORG ?

It sounds like you are talking about subscription licensing. An AP subscription licence works with all current APs.

In Subscription style licensing Wi-Fi 7 APs use the SKU LIC-CW-E or LIC-CW-A. All older APs use the license SKU LIC-MR-E or LIC-MR-A
You can run Wi-Fi 7 and older generation APs in the same Org using Subscription licensing. Just ensure you have both license types added to the subscription.
