Hello,

Could someone please, explain how can I limit the bandwidth of guest SSID to max of 5 Mbits per client.

I am using a WLC C9800-CL.

Thank you in advance.

The 9800 is not going to be the same as AireOS.  You might want to look at this guide and really see if this is something you want to do or not.

Refer "How to apply Per Client Bi-Directional Rate Limiting" section from the following 17.12.x configuration guide

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/9800/17-12/config-guide/b_wl_17_12_cg/m_wireless_qos_cg_vewlc1_from_17_3_1_onwards.html

Restricting wireless client bandwidth can impact all other clients. In wireless efficient use of "airtime" is essential. When a client transmits at a slower speed, it makes other clients wait longer.

A more effective way to manage this is by enabling Air Time Fairness, which allocates a specific percentage of airtime to each SSID. For further details, see the document below.
