I have a new 1242 and I can never get to a config prompt. I have reset the ap and I still get the same issue. All I get is the following below.

*Mar 1 00:20:26.798: %LINK-3-UPDOWN: Interface BVI1, changed state to up

*Mar 1 00:20:27.799: %LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface BVI1, changed state to up

*Mar 1 00:20:31.675: %LINK-3-UPDOWN: Interface BVI1, changed state to down

*Mar 1 00:20:32.674: %LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface BVI1, changed state to down

BVI is the virtual interface. Try to upgrade the access point to a higher version, Reset it again and try again
