Mapping Specific SSID to multiple Vlans

Hello Dears,

If we have a core switch with multiple subnets for the same SSID , on local mode this would be fixed via interface group , however i faced a situation in a Flexconnect environment where for SSID X is multiple small subnets configured on the core but only 1 VLAN ID is mapped to this SSID configuration, can i map the same SSID again in the Flexconnect configuration to a 2nd VLAN which is configured on the core so when all DHCP addresses are leased for 1st VLAN users start getting an IP from the 2nd Pool ?

Not possible for FlexConnect. With FlexConnect, clients need to be in the same subnet when roaming unlike local mode or else roaming breaks. You would need to rethink your subnet size when designing FlexConnect.

Thank you.

Actually i believe it was a wrong design because only the vlan which configured on the Flexconnect was allowed on the trunk of the AP interface and towards the uplink switch , other vlans are configured but not used anyway.

You can define vlans to the max support. However, how you typically use them is one SSID and vlan override using 802.1x. So if you are using 802.1x or maybe even IPSK and ISE, you can have one SSID and place specific clients or devices on a specific subnet. You will not be able to group subnets so that you can bundle subnets when you run out of space. So maybe look at it differently and maybe see if what you have now can be broken down to help reduce the number of hosts per subnet.
