Hi,
I have a number of Meraki MR33 APs, that when I assign a static IP address can't get to the Meraki dashboard, and I have tested another device in the same port, with the same IP Address etc and it can ping the dashboard.
The AP is connecting into a Cisco switch, I can see a mac address out of the port but no ARP. When I connect the same AP to a DHCP available network, the AP springs into life.....but there will not be DHCP at the production site this AP will be going into. Does anyone have any idea what the issue could be?

If the AP is configured with a static IP, it will ARP for the gateway. If it does not get the ARP response it will not tale the static IP configured. With DHCP the AP doesn't ARP for the gateway.
hope this helps

Thanks for the response, and that is the problem, the AP is not seeing the gateway, even though another device with the same IP details being plugged into the same switch port can.

Factory reset the AP
Is static IP config on local status page or dashboard?

Are you configuring static IP from the dashboard or local status page?
