Hello Community.

I have difficulties finding a way how to distinguish in our monitoring tool if the device is 9300 switch or 9300 Embedded  WLC - FIB device. Could you help me out or post MIB IOD number?

The reason is that we have different monitoring checks for WLC and for switch.

Thanks in advance

 - You could query 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.1 (sysDescr) and check if anything in there denotes the difference and or presence of embedded wlc,

query 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.1 (sysDescr) did not help.. because is the same for FIB and non FIB device.../9300 with WLC embedded or 9300 switch only

it is SD-access device, so far we gonna use this MIB

iso.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.831.0.5.1.1.3.4 = STRING: "AIR-DNA-A"  which should be unique for SDA device, but open to better options.

Interesting - that sounds like as good an option as any.  I didn't realise it operated as a single unit that way!

So switch and WLC share the same IP?
