I converted a 1240 ap from autonoumous to lwapp using the upgrade tool. The one step I missed was to configure the .csv file to obtain a hash key for the ap so I can add to the controller. Is there a way I can do this manually.

Hi Musumani,
This is possible :) Have a look at the methods in this good doc;
Self-Signed Certificate Manual Addition to the Controller for LWAPP-Converted APs
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps7206/products_configuration_example09186a00806a426c.shtml
Hope this helps!

When I have converted an Autonomous 1242 to LWAPP, I have never had to enter the SSC. Basically the .csv file did not have anything in it. Only on the older AP's did I have a SSC to add. Just try to have to AP join the WLC. If you believe you need the SSC, then just convert back to IOS and convert back to LWAPP.
